Current research highlights the immense benefits of being outdoors in nature. In fact, research demonstrates that unstructured, outdoor play in nature is fundamental to childhood. Through this project we will aim to provide opportunities and space for families of young children to engage in nature within our play space. We will renovate the building by developing an outdoor room where families can easily access facilities or seamlessly enter the outdoor play-space. We will include plants, trees, edible gardens, sand, rocks, mud, and water. Our design will offer a place for children to: be curious, explore, pause, reflect, collaborate, and rest.

Wudinna Is a very important town for the whole district. This idea is wonderful and all those kids need considering the place is so isolated, so an invitation like this will bring lots of benefits for children and their family. What a great idea!!!!

This Nature Play Space will be a wonderful opportunity for our young children and their families to engage with nature & play. This project has the capacity to value add immensely to our Kindergarten and our community will benefit greatly with this sustainable outdoor room bringing the flow of nature throughout it.
