Where would we be without our magnificent, majestic trees, our sentinels? Big ones, little ones, fat ones, skinny ones, cheeky ones, wise ones, young ones, gnarly ones, annoying ones & really old ones. Trees cool us, they mark the seasons, provide habitat and food for birds and animals . They absorb carbon dioxide and harmful gasses and release oxygen. One large tree can supply a day's supply of oxygen for four people. So we need to be planting more trees because trees also run out of puff and need replacing. Our vistas without enough trees hardly bears contemplating.
In some cases the scope of a suggested project may need to be varied (or has already been varied) on the recommendation of the agency which owns the land or is sponsoring the project (e.g. to add or remove elements of the project and change the budget for the project where required). As such, the description above may not reflect the full and final scope of the project which will be delivered should it be successful in the community voting stage.
