Revamp the Barossa Farmers Market amenities block

Revamping the toilet block for our Barossa Farmers Market.

Budget

$60,000.00

The Barossa Farmers Market is a community market where local growers and producers come together weekly to sell their wares. The Market is a permanent, weekly pop up shop. The Market is supported by locals and tourists to the region alike. There is a stall holder who is permanently wheelchair bound, and some of their visitors are mobility impaired. The current facilities don't allow wheelchairs to access the toilets, nor is there a toilet available for these people to use. An even path to the toilets will make it safer and accessible for everyone to use.

My husband has a disability (mobility) he is unable to enjoy the markets due to the uneven grounds to the amenities block. The markets are such a wonderful outing for him as he can meet many people and have chats however it is too difficult for him to stay for any length of time as he has to be driven back home to use the toilet. This is just too difficult for him to endure. Please assist in creating a better place for people with disabilities. Many thanks

As a stallholder I get many customers asking me where the amenities are and I would love to tell them that they are nearby instead of having to point and say "You need to head around to the back of the building. . . ", knowing this is a long trek for them, especially with infants. We love our market and feel a closer, more inviting facility, would be a great asset to complete the customer's feeling of delight at their visit.

Suitable toilet facilities (sanitation) for all is a human right along with clean water so I believe this should be top of the priority list. Anyone of us could end up in a position where we need to use a wheelchair friendly toilet, lets hope we wont need to wait as long as those who are already in that position

The Barossa Farmers Market is a community icon and sooo loved! We need quality amenities to offer a better local and tourist customer experience - as well as the space for family friendly (baby change space) needs. Please!!

We have such a fantastic market and the only downfall is the toilet facilities.
Lets get some wonderful new amenities and make everything great about our market.

My brother and I both have physical difficulties which require the use of a wheelchair accessible toilet, it would also be very beneficial to a large proportion of market customers

I am wheelchair bound and have been a stallholder at the Barossa Farmers Market for approx. 12 years, to say a wheelchair accessible toilet is necessary would be the understatement of the year

It's a long walk to the toilets out the back, especially on Hot and Cold days. There are no facilities for wheelchair or disability. There are only two toilets and men and women have to share. This can be embarrassing for many. There is also no room for baby change area or dealing with other children's needs. On busy days there can be quite a line up. We desperately need better facilities. In it's present state it is an embarrassment and inconvenient for many.

Clean, upgraded facilities for those with a disability, mums and bubs, locals and visitors to the region. Its an embarrassment in its current state!

The current toilets are too small, too far away, not wheelchair friendly, no baby change facilities and just a bit old and gross! This has been an issue for many years and would really help lift the quality of our market :)

Desperately needed. Current toilets perhaps worst public toilets in Barossa Valley

The amenities block is also in need of baby changing facilities for mum's to access for their bubs!
