Our Bowling and Croquet Clubs presently have over 2000 people using our greens during daytime hours. We are unable however to accommodate more than 64 players on our greens at night, when many younger players/workers are keen to participate. Our clubs are eager to encourage this rapidly growing group, to promote Night Competitions.. Lighting up the two greens is essential for us to hold such activities, to grow our sport, and our memberships. It is vital too, for financial sustainability. Bowling and Croquet are a sport and recreation activity for all ages, contributing significantly to a diverse and vibrant community.

As a new member of the Aldinga Bay Bowls Club I have been impressed by the committee and members dedication to making this a fun and friendly community focussed club. It would be great to be able to use both greens and welcome more members but for this more lighting is definitely needed.

I am GC Captain at Aldinga Bay Croquet Club and urge people to support our quest to install lights. This will enable us to provide night time competition and social play for those who work during the day and therefore increase the number of members at the club.

As a committee member of our current Night Owls competition we are restricted to 8 lanes, we have had to turn away many teams due to lack of lighting . This is our major fund raiser for the year and as we are a small club the extra lighting would assist us to make the Aldinga Bay Bowling Club a strong community club for all
