Enfield Athletics wish to improve their facility to be able to train safely and include everyone in the community. Synthetic surfaces can be used in wet weather, perfectly flat and non slip. Benefits include: wheelchairs glide across surface: People with Sensory Impairments, Physical Difficulties won't be challenged by variations in surface and slippery grass. Special Olympics South Australia wish to continue existing weekly training and add weekly Saturday Morning State Athletics Competitions. Talks with Disability Recreation and Sport are continuing and hope to attract Wheelchair Sports Athletes. Locals who jog on roads and footpaths will be safer off the streets.

This would be awesome for our up and coming athletes. Both my children train here and it becomes very, very wet and soggy when we have rain, makes it hard to run on.

It is very important to develop this park. It will be very helpful for the community. I have seen many of the athletes training here. But they can't practice during rains and their rhythm gets broken. Synthetic track will support them a lot. Thanks.
