Many locals of all ages and social backgrounds have minimal computer knowledge. Access to free computer training opportunities locally is limited, making it hard to find suitable help to learn basic computer skills.
As government services, job seeking and communication are increasingly online processes, improving the digital literacy skills of local community members is paramount to their participation in a range of life experiences and requirements.
With laptops, iPads and Android tablets- equipped with necessary software- the Port Lincoln Library will have the tools necessary for ongoing computer literacy education and community outreach programs.

This is an awesome idea to help bridge the "digital divide" in ensuring that all in our community develop skills in accessing computers and technologies to enhance lives. There is a great need for remaining instep with ever evolving technologies. This program will assist in enabling digital inclusion for all, reducing barriers to access and to empower users in their information technology abilities.
