Our lacrosse club has approximately 150 junior, 100 senior and 100 social members (50/50 gender split), we have seen positive growth in recent years in our junior ranks. Our sport lacks funding, as a result our facilities are out of date, inadequate for the number of women and juniors we have and in the case of field lighting, unsafe. We seek funding for a new purpose built storage shed to free up much needed space in our club and change rooms as well as new lighting to light our playing fields to safe and adequate levels for training and competition.

Brighton Lacrosse Club needs better lighting. They have children playing/practising lacrosse at night and they also need to be able to play night games as there are not many venues suitable. Promote lacrosse it's a fantastic game

Please support our drive to upgrade our lighting, it is so badly needed for many reasons including player safety, increased sports participation of children, improved usage of a community asset, opportunities to host, local, state, national and visiting international teams (thus bringing more people and business opportunities into the local area).
Given our sporting ground is shared with Brighton Cricket Club there is also potential benefit to them for hosting twilight games during their season as well as other the other sporting clubs within the precinct.
Please give your support to our project.

Sure the club will continue without improving our lights but there is so many advantages for junior & senior teams if we had adequate lighting.Expanding the number of junior teams will be a direct result of improved lighting.

We have a fantastic junior program at BLC. New lights will enable us to broaden that program bring many more young players to the club

Adequate lighting is needed to allow for the continued growth of our club. With junior numbers increasing rapidly, we will be relying on well lit fields to provide appropriate training conditions. As the club grows & services the community, storage becomes increasingly difficult. Funding to ensure things can be stored to allow easy & appropriate access would ease the burden on volunteers to continually move/shift things to get what they need and improve safety aspects.

Better lighting will enable the club to improve its training facilities. Brighton Lacrosse has had to self-fund all of its current flood lighting with minimal assistance from local and state governments. $150,000 worth of lighting improvements will mean a great deal for our club.

The lighting has been average at the lacrosse club for years and its time for an upgrade to support the ever growing number of members the club has, especially kids. Storage is also an issue in order for the Brighton Lacrosse Club to host and support various local and National Championships.

We desperately need lighting and equipment storage to cope with a growing club. We have a large contingent of juniors due to recruitment and would like to see that our club remains one of the best in South Australia.
