The home of Kindergym Unley with 500 active kids every term. Youth and children’s programs. Weddings and funerals. Spiritual and practical support through every stage of life. These are provided at Unley's Uniting Church. The heritage-listed building has weathered over 100 years of our community's history, but its steeple is now in need of urgent repair. Because heritage buildings require special care, the repair cost exceeds available funds and threatens the ability to continue our services. We have deeply valued every opportunity to provide care over the last 100 years. Please consider using your vote to help the work continue.

This Kindergym has been running at the same location for over 30 years. It provides a valuable and much needed outreach to hundreds of children and is much appreciated by church and community. Parents benefit greatly from inter-action with staff of Kindergym as well as other parents. Many friendships have been gained for both parents and children and it has made a tremendous difference to parenting skills and self esteem for many parents. Multi-cultural families are very welcome. A fabulous service that Unley community cannot afford to lose. Please help with funding this extremely valuable resource in The City of Unley.

This fantastic organisation and church space is in great need of funding. It would be a Terrible Shame to see the many children in our community unable to access such a great service and learning environment for years to come. The heritage of this building needs to be maintained and restored.

The kindy gym serves such a great local service . Not only does it help children integrate but it assists with not having to put children into quite expensive child care for quite as much time. The kindy gym has become synonymous with the Unley council district.

I have a child with gross motor delay. Unley Kindergym is her best therapy. It is such an important service for all families but especially for those like ours.

Kindergym Unley is such a wonderful experience for young children and parents of the local area. My two boys (now 11 and 10) loved attending the sessions all those years ago and still talk about their kindergym experience with great fondness. It has true community spirit.

My now 8 year old used this wonderful Kindergym as a baby and toddler and I remember the joys of dodging the buckets catching the drips back then. This along with other issues could only have gotten worse, and the longer it is left will only lead to more issues = false economy. The Kindergym to my knowledge has always been very well attended (including waiting lists) and is a requirement of the area. Not to mention the other uses for the hall which I am sure are equally deserving. Please preserve a piece of our heritage and keep the community in this building.

I attended the Unley Kindergym with my three children and I thoroughly enjoy taking my 2 year old granddaughter to the same centre! The facilities are great for families and is inviting and supportive of grandparents, dads and mums. Such a rich history providing wonderful community involvement, friendships and exercise should be supported and encouraged at a time when childhood obesity is rising. The caring staff actively encourage everyone to participate in whatever way they can, so this cannot be lost to the City of Unley. We are so blessed to have this centre on our doorstep to foster relationships for the next generation of children to come.

Hi Judith and others, The Glen Osmond Scout group ( 1 Barr Smith Dr Myrtle Bank 5064) has applied for funding too- New Disabled Entry and WC. We have encouraged our members to vote for your project as well as both groups serve the community well. If you could vote for our project- then both projects will benefit!!

Our 3 children have loved coming to Unley Kindergym since they were babies. As a mum of 3 little ones, it allows them to explore and learn in the safety of the church hall.
The community of Kindergym families is something very special.

Both of my children have enjoyed the benefits of this fabulous community program. It is an integral part of our local community as is the church which is an important component of the beautiful streetscape of this area in the heart of Unley.

The church is an important heritage listed part of the streetscape and the Kindergym offers a vital affordable service to the community.

I've had three children use this wonderful space over the past decade. It provides an outstanding community sanctuary for families with young children.
The church steeple needs to be fixed. It is a beautiful part of the skyline/streetscape of Unley road and it deserves a proper restoration to preserve the heritage of the neighbourhood.

Please do help. The unley Kindergym is a fantastic organisation that brings so much joy to so many people. As someone that has been a part of it for the last 9 years, it is run professionally and adds such great community benefit.
