The roof leaks and has caused extensive water damage throughout the facility. Advice from builder is that it needs to be replaced. We are pouring money on an ongoing basis into temporary repairs as we don't have the funds to replace the roof. This has caused us to make a financial loss for the last few years. Our club was built entirely on volunteer labour and community fundraising. The community is smaller now but still strong and while fundraising is ongoing, we are struggling to bridge the deficit. All of the Arno Bay community uses this facility for many activities.

Won’t last long with a leaky roof.

In the picture, the squash court floor still seems to be in good condition. This floor won't survive if subject to periodic exposure to water leaks. If all fundraising is consumed in saving the inside of the building, then the community will eventually see the loss of the building. Good foundations, and a waterproof roof are the two fundamentals for any building. If the roof can be fixed permanently, then fundraising can be used more effectively.

For our children and grandchildren to be able to continue to play sports associated with the complex long into the future then the first thing that needs to be done is repair the roof before any more water damage is caused to the inside of the building.
