The school playground at Edwardstown Primary School is widely used by the community after school and on weekends. The school has long wanted to build a tranquil nature playground that can be used by students and the community. It would incorporate elements such as a natural sandpit, waterplay, logs, large rocks (some already on site ), sculpture and loose parts play. The area has a drainage pit for the playground so could also incorporate a raingarden to help clean water before it enters the stormwater system. The project would be designed for use by toddlers to the early teenage years.

A fantastic modern play approach for EPS. Keep the kids out in the yard, off the screens and in touch with nature.

Children, adults, birds and ground creatures alike would benefit from such a wonderful garden. A very pretty and useful play area.

Thanks Pamela! We do have some wonderful birds and also some plants - recent we saw an animal carer feeding his baby possum in our garden because we have a great array of native plants.

A fantastic modern play approach in an older school. A refurbished playground is well overdue.

Thank you for all the votes and support so far! This playground will be open to the whole community so even if you don't have children at the school, they will be able to use it after school and on the weekends. Also, the school is growing quickly and this playground will really help to provide a greater range of activities for all the new students.
