Mortlock Oval is a beautiful open space, great playground and bike track. Colonel Light Gardens Primary School raised monies and contributed and had a say to the new play equipment. It is a popular playground with many families utilising it on the weekends, after school and school holidays. Further improvements by providing a BBQ area will see more families come, stay longer and create further memories. In addition, self cleaning toilets using rainwater tanks to plumb. Always the way you get there and 'I need to go to the to toilet'.

Great features to add to an already established family-friendly area

This is very much needed. Should have been funded years ago by the council.

Great idea. There are toilets in the football clubrooms, but these are almost always locked. Maybe a collaboration and improvement to this facility could see toilets open to the public. Please not an exceloo though, too expensive to run & maintain.

Both toilets and bbq’s will add to the usability of this space. There was a plan for this and much more in at council but it seems to have completely lost its legs for some reason. I hope this gets through for our community

My voting is done! Kelly Gilbert you are without a doubt one of CLG's biggest gems, the generosity of thought and personal time freely given to your seemingly tireless fundraising efforts have achieved so much already for the school and surrounding community and you just keep on going... ! Big fan of what you do lady! x

Good idea. Like the idea of using "environmentally" friendly toilets.

Mortlock Park is such a great community complex and I'm sure it would be used a lot more if there were BBQ facilities.
